A café and delicatessen is bidding to extend its opening times and its licence to sell alcohol later into the evening.

If granted, Thyme Deli, based on Winter Hey Lane, Horwich, will be able to open between 9am and 8.30pm from Monday to Sunday and sell alcohol from 9am to 8pm over the same days.

This will allow the café to take in more customers and expend the scope of its business.

A Bolton Council statement said: “Any interested party or responsible authority may make representations to the Council regarding the application during the period of 28 consecutive days starting with the day after the application was lodged with the Council.”

The owners as well as other members of the community as well as other interested parties will have the chance to make their cases in support of the bid before Bolton Council’s licensing team.

People with concerns will also have the chance to make their views known.

Officials from the council’s licencing team will be able to inspect the business while its application is active.

Thyme Deli’s application will be open for representations until May 11, after which Bolton Council will make its decision as to whether to grant the licence.
