A business has generously donated £1,000 to Our Bolton NHS Charity's The Small Things appeal.

IC Insurance Solutions wanted to help the charity after they witnessed the hard work and dedication of NHS staff during the pandemic.

The company also pledged to become a long-term supporter of the NHS charity.

The funds the company has donated will help the charity to fulfil its ambition to improve the care evironment and experience patients recieve.

Faiz Karim, head of New Business at IC Insurance Solutions attended the Royal Bolton Hospital to recieve a Certificate of Appreciation.

Speaking about the donation the business made, Mr Karim said: "We all felt touched by the courage of NHS staff and this was our small way of being able to show our gratitude.

"As a company we’re proud to be from Bolton and have a lot of links to the healthcare industry through our work.

"We want to make a difference in any way we can with fundraising events throughout the year to see where we can offer our ongoing support."

Sarah Skinner, charity manager of Our Bolton NHS Foundation Trust said the organisation is really grateful for the support.

She said: "We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation from IC Insurance Solutions and we look forward to working alongside them in the future.

"Support from local Bolton businesses helps us to fulfil our ambition to make a real difference to the lives our staff, patients, and communities."

The Small Things appeal is currently still open for donations which will help patients across Bolton.

The charity has raised £11,677 so far due to the kind donations from businesses and residents across the borough.
