A road in Horwich will be closed in May for a triathlon event.
Church Street will be closed on May 8 until around 6pm whilst the sport event takes place.
To enable the Horwich Triathlon to take place, traffic will be prohibited from proceeding on Church Street from Winter Hey Lane to Victoria Road.
Traffic restrictions to make way for electricity works
An alternative route will be via Chorley New Road so road users can travel around the area with ease.
To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.

Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
