POLICE have launched an investigation after a woman was reportedly raped in the Whitefield area on Thursday.
Officers arrived at an address just before 10:15 on Thursday (28 April) following a report of a rape.
It is understood that the woman is currently receiving specialist support.
Police are continuing to conduct enquiries and are appealing for any information in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for GMP said: “Officers were called just before 10.15am yesterday (28 April 2022) to a report of a rape at an address in the Whitefield area yesterday.
“A woman was raped and is receiving specialist support at this time.
“Enquiries are on-going and anyone with information can report it online or via LiveChat on www.gmp.police.uk.”
