Multiple streets across Bolton are closed from today for resurfacing works.
Georges Lane, Horwich, will be closed for approximately two weeks for works and the closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Georges Lane from Chorley Old Road to Old Rake.
An alternate route for traffic is in place via Factory Mill, Mill Lane, so drivers can travel around the area with ease.
Work is also taking place on Horsfield Street for approxiamtely two days prohibiting all traffic from proceeding on Horsfield Street from Wigan Road to Junction Road.

Keswick Street and Harvey Street will be closed for approximately two weeks for resurfacing works.
To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.
Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
