MAGISTRATES have fined four men £660 each plus £156 in costs and charges after they failed to name vehicle drivers, suspected of committing offences, to police.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Christopher Whitworth, aged 38, of Le Gendre Street, Bolton, was banned from driving for 18 months after he failed to name a Ford Transit van driver on August 9 last year.

A further three men had six points added to their licences.

Zaishan Jahangir, aged 29, of Winton Grove, Bolton, failed to name the driver of a Skoda Estate on October 22 last year.

Ansar Javed, aged 45, of Belmont Road, Bolton failed to name the driver of an Audi Q7 on October 12 last year.

Jan Szymon, aged 44, of Horsa Street, Bolton, failed to name the driver of an VW Golf on October 11 last year.
