POLICE have arrested a man having raided a cannabis farm in Little Lever this morning (May 10).
Officers raided a property on James Street following information provided by the public.
The man was arrested following the discovery of what police described as a “large quantity of cannabis”.
They say the found the remains of a cannabis growing operations, however they were too late to seize the farm.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “This morning Bolton North Neighbourhood officers have executed a warrant at James Street, Little Lever.
"Unfortunately, it appears we may have arrived just a week or so late because although we found lighting, ventilation etc, the majority of the cannabis farm was gone.
“We did find a large quantity of cannabis and a male has been arrested from the address.
“We couldn't do this kind of work without information you the public provide - thank you.”
The arrest is another in a recent crackdown in Bolton, after a string of other successful cannabis farm raids throughout the borough.
Last month officers forced the door of a house in Radcliffe Road, arresting one man and seizing a total of 455 cannabis plants from the property, that were spread out over five rooms.
