A BOLTON care home was broken in to by, it is believed a group of people.

Police were called to the incident at the Four Seasons Care Home in Breightmet in the early hours of Friday morning (May 6), Harbour Health Care, the company that runs the care home, have confirmed.

Nothing was taken and no staff or residents were harmed as a result of the break in at the Breightmet Fold Lane facility.

A concerned member of the public, who does not wish to be named, has a friend who works at the Four Seasons.

They claimed that three people broke into the care home.

They said: “They forced their way through the front door and other doors.

“They were searching for something, but they obviously hadn’t found it.”

The intruders made their escape before the police could arrive, after they were “obviously scared off,” the member of the public believes.

Honor Keatley, Managing Director of Harbour Health Care, said: “Sadly, we did experience a break in.

“Nothing was taken and fortunately no residents disturbed or harmed.

“The intruders were spotted by our fantastic team members and ran off. Police were called and damage caused has been addressed.

“Security measures were in place at the time and of course we are reviewing the situation. The home is relatively new to our group, and we are working with the Home Manager to ensure everyone is informed and reassured.”
