Police stopped two Bolton drivers last night who were found to be in breach of road law.
Officers came across a Peugeot Partner van on Springfield Road, Kearsley.
The vehicle came to the attention of police after it was found to have insufficient tread on one of its front tyres.
However matters deteriorated for the motorist when, police said, he failed a roadside drugs test.
A post by GMP Traffic said: "He's been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and is now at Bolton custody."
Officers also came across a Ford Fusion on Ramsay Avenue, Farnworth.
Checks for the driver's insurance policy had been cancelled as a result of it not being paid, said officers.
A GMP post said: "Car seized and driver issues Traffic Offence Report for the offence."
