POLICE are hunting a prolific Bury criminal after he escaped from prison.
Scott Henderson, aged 36, was part way through serving a five-year prison sentence for burglary and aggravated vehicle taking when he absconded from the open prison at Thorn Cross, Warrington.
Henderson, formerly of Tottington, was sentenced at Minshull Street Crown Court in April 2020 and still has a significant period of time to serve after he admitted crimes including three burglaries, including one at the home of a man he had known for 20 years.

Henderson is known to frequent Bury, Radcliffe and Tottington areas and anyone who has any information on his whereabouts, or sees him, should contact police at the Bury Hub on 0161 856 8172 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or 101.
