BOLTON Council are to hold a public face-to-face event for people interested in fostering.

The information evening will be the first the council have been able to hold for over two years due to the pandemic.

It will be held Tuesday May 17 between 5-7pm at St Pauls Community Centre in Halliwell and there will be free refreshments available.

The event will not only provide potential foster carers with all the information they might need, but it will also look to celebrate the work already being done in the community.

A Foster with Bolton spokesperson said: “We're excited to be hosting our first face-to-face information evening for over 2 years, and we'd love to meet you there.

“It will be a chance to meet the team and our carers and find out if fostering is for you.

“We need more carers to help look after our babies, children and young people from a wide range of different lifestyles, cultures, ethnicities, religions and backgrounds.

“We also welcome community group leaders and others who are interested in finding out more about this incredibly rewarding role as we celebrate our great Bolton fostering community.”
