Two Bolton roads will be closed next week for vital manhole repairs.

Harrowby Street will be closed from May 29 for approximately one day.

The closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Harrowby Street from Beatrice Street to Sutherland Street to allow manhole repair works to take place.

Heap Street will also be closed for approximately one day from May 24.

The closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Heap Street from Flora Street to Glynn Street to enable works to take place.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.

Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
