An multi-vehicle collision on the M56 has caused two lanes to be closed near to Manchester Airport.
National Highways reported that two of the three lanes on the M56 eastbound are closed between J7 and J6 due to a multi vehicle collision.
They went on to say that traffic officers are at the scene and dealing with the incident, and that there will be delays for approximately 45 minutes.
National Highways have since reported that the two closed lanes have now been reopened following the earlier collision.
They advise that delays are easing in the area, but to allow extra time for your journey.
Data company Inrix said how two lanes are closed with severe delays on the M56 eastbound due to an accident.
