A HAIRDRESSERS and beauty salon are joining forces to provide something for all your pampering needs in one space.

Charlotte Holdbrook who owns Charlotte Elizabeth Beauty, was in need of someone else to come and rent the premises with her.

And it worked out well because Lauren Kitchen who owns The Whitebox hairdressers, was after the next big opportunity to grow her business.

Charlotte added: “It’s a great space for two businesses to support each other in the same building.

“We will work as a team and help each other, which is a massive positive.

“It’s exciting to be able to offer a range of pampering treatments, and hairstyles such as balayage, all in one place.

“Lauren is absolutely brilliant at what she does.”

Charlotte says she is hugely grateful for having made it through the pandemic, admitting that it was really tough to run the business, especially by herself.

She is hopeful that working in the same space as Lauren will take the pressure off and be a huge boost for both their businesses.

She added: “I am hoping that this can bring us a whole range of new clients.

“It’s really hard work having your own business.

“And I am a single mum to two boys.

“We are both really driven and motivated, so I’m really looking forward to the future.

“The pandemic was really hard for both of us, but we have come out the other side.”

Since everywhere has gradually started up again, Charlotte says that business has been booming.

She said that she thinks people are putting themselves first and wanting to feel good a lot more.

She added: “We are both really busy even with inflation.

“I think people are taking time out for themselves, and really putting themselves first, and looking after themselves more.”

Charlotte has over 10 years experience within the beauty industry, with a wide range of qualifications in a multitude of beauty therapies, including massages, skin care, nail treatments and holistic therapy.

She learned her craft at Springs Beauty in Harwood, but never set out to be a businesswoman.

Charlotte said: “Over the years I learned and progressed.

“But I fell into beauty really and learned how to be a businesswoman.

“And it was after working with two people who were a massive inspiration in my career – that I was inspired myself.

“They both have their own salons and are really good friends.

“I couldn’t have done it without them.”

Charlotte and Lauren both hope that the business can create ‘a Manchester vibe’ with high quality services at reasonable costs.

Lauren is expected to join Charlotte in Tonge Moor on Friday July 1.
