THE Bolton Choral Union (BCU) will be holding a concert, with some classical favourites.
BCU will be performing Rossini’s ‘Petite Messe Solennelle’ at Bolton Parish Church on Sunday, June 12 at 7.30 pm.
It will be conducted by Michael Greenhalgh and features professional soloists Jane Burnell, Hollie-anne Bangham, Daniel Joy and Arthur Bruce.
Pianist Ruth Hollick, and organist Tomek Pieczora will accompany the performance.
The ‘Petite Messe’ has been described as neither little nor solemn and displays a mixture of styles.
The concert will also include a performance of a short piece of work by Ola Gjeilo ‘Ubi Caritas’ sung by the choir with a beautiful piano improvisation by Gjeilo.
Tickets can be bought by ringing 01204 364969, or at the door from 7pm.
