Two lanes are closed in Disbury on the M60 due to a fallen tree.
Lanes 1 and 2 are closed on the M60 clockwise between J5 Manchester and J6 Didsbury due to a fallen tree.
Traffic is building to Disbury and Sale due to the incident and the tree is being taken care of.
National Highways England said: "We have deployed resources to deal with the obstruction. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area."
Inrix repprted: "Two lanes closed and heavy traffic due to fallen tree on M60 clockwise from J5 A5103 Princess Road (Princess Parkway) to J6 A6144 Old Hall Road (Sale).
"Congestion to J4 (M56 Sharston Link). Lanes one and two (Of four) are closed."
