A MENTAL health and fitness provision for army veterans is celebrating is first anniversary this month.
Pheniks Division has been running veterans a boxing club at the at the Elite Boxing Club in Halliwell.
The initiative is in place to provide not only a place to keep fit, but also social support for former and serving forces personel in the Bolton area.
Over 40 veterans and serving soldiers have benefited from the initiative.
Hughie Benson, founder of Pheniks Division, said: "From the very start this was never all about the boxing. It was designed to build a social and support network for ex and serving armed forces personnel in the Bolton area.
"We have achieved the mission and will continue to do so.
"Along the way we have had some great help in regards to funding and equipment and without these people it would never of started and got off the ground."
