Police in Horwich say they have uncovered a van that was stolen and will return it to its owner.

Yesterday evening (16 June) the van was discovered on Greenstone Avenue by officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Bolton Neighbourhood Priority Crime Team.

Police say they managed to confirm that it was stolen and have since seizes the vehicle with the view to returning it to its rightful owner.

A spokesperson for GMP Bolton West said: "Last night officers from Bolton’s Neighbourhood Priority Crime Team located this vehicle on Greenstone Avenue in Horwich.

"It was confirmed as an outstanding stolen and subsequently seized for forensic examination.

"It will be returned to its owner soon."

GMP has reported no charges or arrests at the point.
