Police have recovered a stolen car in Bolton which had been taken from a home 30 miles away.
Officers were on patrol in Farnworth and Kearsley recently when they came across a Toyota Yaris parked on a drive and unoccupied.
However, after police carried out checks it transpired the vehicle had been taken from an address in Openshaw.
GMP Bolton South posted pictures on social media of the car and it being seized by police.
They said in a post: "It has been recovered by police and efforts are ongoing to contact its rightful owner."
GMP recently increased its road traffic unit by 64 officers as part of an effort to bring down offences which take place behind the wheel and make the roads safer for residents of the area.
