MAGISTRATES have spared a man jail after he pleaded guilty to driving while banned and having no insurance.
Wigan magistrates heard how Mohammed Patel, aged 36, of Heathfield Drive, Bolton, was caught driving a Vauxhall Mokka on Cut Acre Way, Farnworth, on April 23.
He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, banned from applying for a licence for 20 months and must pay £128 towards the costs of funding victim services.
