- Anthony George, aged 41, was rushed to hospital at 8.40pm on December 11 last year with serious stab injuries.
- The four men on trial at Manchester Crown Court accused of causing grievous bodily harm are: Brendan Carney, aged 26, of Cloister Street, Bolton; Roy Meanley, aged 29, of Rowena Street, Bolton; Nathan Carney-Williamson, aged 29, of Battenberg Road, Bolton; Thomas Lynch, aged 35, of Walley Street, Bolton.
- The trial is presided over by the Honorary Recorder of Manchester, Judge Nicholas Dean QC
