Aspiring skaters and scooter riders in Bolton can skate around to their hearts content this summer.

Children and young people who enjoy riding around on their skateboards and scooters will have the opportunity to skate around in locations in Kearsley.

At Kearsley Park on Monday, August 1 and Bradford Street Recreation Ground on Monday, August 15, there will be pop up skate parks for children and young people to use.

The parks will have a huge half pipe, ramps and grind rails, with pads and helmets being provided for those who can’t bring their own.

On both days the skatepark will be open from 11am-3pm, so skaters and scooter riders will have plenty of time to use it.

The council highlight that although they make every effort to ensure the sessions are safe, use of the equipment is at the users own risk. Helmets and pads are advised to be worn at all times.

They also stress that the skate park sessions are for scooters and skateboards only.

The council’s Play and Youth Bolton team organised the sessions, with them being funded by Kearsley Ward Councillors from Area Forum Funds.
