A businessman has helped take an 'amazing' youth club to the next level by supporting the redevelopment of its youth centre and a new minibus.

Believe Achieve CIC, based on Market Street, Farnworth, works with young people to help give them a place to go and things to do, while also helping people in need access foodbanks by assisting with their deliveries.

Now, Jack Abady director of Re-Rates which is also based in the area, has come forward to help renovated the centre’s two upstairs floors and provide a minibus to take the youngsters on trips.

He said: “Believe Achieve CIC is an amazing non-profit company that works tirelessly to help the young people of our community and their hard work has inspired me to help them in their mission.

“We work with many charities to help them grow and Believe Achieve fits our idea perfectly.

“Myself and Re-Rates UK will be helping Believe Achieve CIC with the renovation and development of their two floors and also help them get a people carrier minibus so the Believe Achieve children can attend outdoor events.”

Having been founded in May last year in a former Barclays Bank building by Tunde Olasupo in memory of his baby son Kingsley who died in hospital, the organisation now supports 690 young people and has 400 families registered with its foodbank service.

This comes after young people and others from deprived communities across Bolton have faced an extremely challenging few years, with the legacy of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis hitting people hard.

As such, Believe Achieve has seen demand grow significantly in its first year.

Mr Abady said: “The past two years have been extremely challenging for the community and we believe with our support we will not only be able to help the Believe Achieve family but also help the community they serve with their food bank delivery services.

“Food poverty in the local community is at an all-time high and this people carrier minibus will help Believe Achieve reach those that are most vulnerable and in need of the basic necessities.’’
