A yellow warning for thunderstorms has been issued for Bolton today. 

Temperatures are set to rise to 26 degrees today, but rain will move in from 4pm with thunderstorms likely tonight and tomorrow.

The temperature will  start to fall as the weekend approaches -  down to 21 degrees on Friday, and 18 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday with rain and thunder being predicted.

Friday will start sunny, with  scattered showers will developing later, becoming heavy and possibly thundery by evening.

Saturday to Monday the weather is forecast to be changeable o with showers or longer spells of rain. The showers will be heavy and thundery in places and will be accompanied by brisk southwesterly winds.

Temperatures are set to rise again by Wednesday.

The Met Office has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning stretching from Sheffield in the North due to the thunderstorms.

Today the weather is even hotter than Portugal, where it’s currently 23 degrees.
