Bolton Central Library will be running a free series of arts and crafts sessions for children with special needs over the coming weeks.

The sessions will be suitable for children between the ages of five and 14 and promise to be of interest to any youngsters with special educational needs and disabilities interested in exploring their artistic sides.

Spaces are limited, but will be free to anyone who books in time with the first session this Saturday set to draw inspiration from the aquarium at Bolton museum.

A statement from Bolton Library and Museum Services said: “We will be running a series of arts and craft sessions specifically for children with SEND ages 5-14 years, starting Saturday June 25, 11-12pm, then every other Saturday for 6 sessions.

“There will be a mixture of painting, collage and clay and activities will be suitable to adapt to specific ages and needs.

“The activity on Saturday will be taking inspiration from our aquarium.”

Staff at the library services have advised that places are limited but that they are free to anyone interested in taking part who fits the relevant age bracket.
