A man is due in court today accused of a number of driving offences.
Thomas Smethurst, 21, has been charged with dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, failing to stop and driving with no insurance.
Smethurst is due to appear before magistrates at some point, according to a social media post shared by police.
On Wednesday, officers say they pursued an Audi which had suspected cloned plates through Bolton.
The car allegedly reached speeds of up to 130mph on the hard shoulder of the M61 before colliding with a police vehicle on Smethurst Lane.
