Police have found a stolen vehicle in Bolton which was taken earlier in the month.
Officers came across the Volkwagen on patrol on Ennerdale Avenue in Breightmet.
Further checks by officers revealed the car was on false plates.
It later emerged the vehicle had been taken during a burglary in Eagley which took place on Friday last week.
A post by GMP Bolton North said: "The vehicle will now be examined by our CSI officers."
The discovery comes after police in Bolton took a week of action aimed at tackling burglaries in the area.
Officers revealed they had made 15 arrrests durign this period, recovered six stolen vehicles and a number of other items which had been taken.
Detective Sergeant Carla Deighton, of GMP's Bolton district said: “We will absolutely continue to take action against those we believe are responsible for breaking in to people’s homes and taking items which don’t belong to them but intelligence from members of the public is vital so I ask that that is reported to us or Crimestoppers.”
