A woman was walked out of a crashed car earlier today, Sunday, with the help of paramedics after a road collision.

The crash took place just of Trafford Drive in Little Hulton on Sunday after with firefighters called to the scene at around 1.15pm.

Crews from Farnworth Fire Station were in attendance as well as police and ambulance services.

Watch manager Carl Haslam said: “There was no excavation required.

“The passenger that was still in the vehicle when we arrived was just able to walk herself out with the assistance of the ambulance crews that were there.”

The woman was not seriously injured as a result of the crash.

No other vehicles have been reported to have been involved and the crews remained at the scene to make the car safe until around 1.50pm on Sunday afternoon.

The road was not officially closed at any point but Mr Haslam said that it was “impassable” for part of this time because of the presence of ambulances and police cars.
