An inquest has opened into the tragic death of a young man who was found dead in his home in Bolton.
Joshua Mark Richardson, a barber by trade who was originally from Bury, was aged just 29 when he was found hanging at his home on Brentwood Drive on June 3 this year.
Bolton Coroner's Court heard last Friday how emergency services had been called to the scene and found Mr Richardson in his bedroom.
Police coroners officer Stefan Wilson said: “Paramedics were called and sadly confirmed shortly after that Mr Richardson had passed away.”
PCO Wilson confirmed that police enquiries were made and that officers concluded there were no suspicious circumstances nor any concerns about third party involvement in Mr Richardson’s death.
A postmortem investigation conducted by pathologist Dr Patrick Waugh gave Mr Richardson’s cause of death as hanging.
Coroner Timothy Brennand ruled that a full hearing will be held later this year to fully determine the tragic circumstances around Mr Richardson’s death.
He requested statements from his GP, from the North West Ambulance Service and from any mental health agencies who may have been involved to be delivered by August 12.
Mr Brennand set the date for the full inquest to be held on December 21 this year.
