A board game café is bidding to take its business to the next level with the right to sell alcohol.

Slice & Dice on Churchgate, Bolton submitted the application last week which, if granted, will allow the venue to serve alcohol between noon and 10pm every day of the week.

The application has now gone to Bolton Council’s licencing department for approval who will hear from interested parties before making their decision.

A Bolton Council statement said: “Any interested party or responsible authority may make representations to the council regarding the application during the period of 28 consecutive days starting with the day after the application was lodged with the council, that day being June 22 2022.

“The last day for representations to be made will therefore be July 20 2022.

“All representations must be made in writing.”

Once the representations have been received the bid will then go to Bolton Council’s licencing committee who will make the final decision at a later date.

The café is already serves fresh order pizza and coffee as well as hosting regular card games and board game tournaments along with weekly events.

The management say that they aim to accommodate both seasoned and new players.
