A new story telling group has launched and is on the lookout for new members.

The Talk and Tales group will now be meeting weekly at Little Lever library and hopes to attract people in the area with an interest in all kinds of stories with a different theme every session.

The group says that no prior experience or specialist knowledge is required.

A statement from Bolton Libraries and Museums Services said: “Want to share stories and meet new people.”

“Come along to the launch of our new group Talk and Tales on Tuesday, July 5 11am to 12pm at Little Lever Library.

“Each week we will discuss stories linked around a different theme.

“Free, all welcome and no prior knowledge needed.”

The group says it will use different themes, books, magazines and memories in order to spark conversations amongst group members.

This marks one of several new group activities at the Little Lever library since it moved into its new home on Market Street on the site of the former Tesco Metro.

As well as organisations like the Talk and Tales Group, the library offers a wide range of computers and training for people to get online alongside books, magazines, and audio-visual resources.
