A huge cannabis farm has been discovered in Bolton amid a major police crackdown that has involved officers from all over Greater Manchester.
The drugs were discovered at a house on Harrowby Street, Farnworth which was raided by police on Thursday morning.
This comes as part of Operation Avro, a major police initiative that aims to crack down on a wide variety of crimes across a different borough in the city region every month.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “A cannabis farm has been discovered after officers successfully executed a warrant on Harroby Street in Farnworth.
“Officers have disrupted the operation and a number of plants have been seized.”
The raid comes as part of Operation Avro which aims to crackdown on crime across Greater Manchester
Pictures supplied by officers at the scene show a large number of plants found on Harrowby Street which will now be dismantled by police.
Operation Avro has run across different Greater Manchester boroughs each month, with the end of June being Bolton’s turn.
As well as drug crime, police have also been cracking down on outstanding arrest warrants, car crime and violent offences.
