A car has been towed in Bolton today after being found by police in a “dangerous condition.”
The light blue Peugeot was discovered by police officers on Poplar Avenue in Horwich on Wednesday afternoon.
They found that it had a badly damaged right side and as such the officers decided to seized the car and have it towed away.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Today PCSO Small recovered this vehicle from Poplar Avenue In Horwich for being in a dangerous condition.”
So far no further details have been released as to who police believe may be the owner of the car or how it came to be damaged in this way.
No arrests have yet been reported in relation to the incident.
This comes after other recent cases of car related crime, including the use of cloned number plates, driving without insurance and driving without in and around the Bolton area in recent months.
Many of these have resulted in cars being seized by officers and sanctions handed out to owners.
Police have appealed for anyone concerned about vehicle theft or about other cases of crime and anti-social behaviour on the roads to phone 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
