Bolton’s two Conservative MPs are both backing the same candidate in their leadership bid.
Chris Green and Mark Logan – Members for Bolton West and Bolton North East respectively – have both been vocal in the backing of tory leader candidate Tom Tugendhat.
The Tonbridge and Malling MP has thrown his hat in the ring to become the Prime Minister, and if selected it would be seen as going in a different direction to the government Boris Johnson has been leading.
Having served in the British Army in both Iraq and Afghanistan, Mr Tugendhat has been an MP since 2015.

Mr Green says that he knows that Mr Tugendhat will complete Brexit, cut taxes and restore confidence in the United Kingdom.
He said: “I think that when we look at the British political life and the problems we face as a country, we do need a clean start to restore confidence and set a new direction.
"I believe that Tom Tugendhat has what we need for the country and can show the leadership to deliver.
"Tom is committed to revitalising our economy and cutting taxes which will be good for Britain as a while, but I also believe that his international experience building relationships with countries around the world will help drive trade and prosperity. He is committed to long term economic revival which will power the levelling up agenda.
"I think he has a very good chance of winning. He’s one of the front runners at this time. It’ll be a close contest and I’m looking forward to the first vote on Wednesday."
On the matter of Brexit, Mr Green added: “We are all committed to finishing the job. No matter the new leader, if it is unfinished business at the next General Election we will haemorrhage votes and seats.
“I am 100 per cent confident that Tom will complete Brexit.”
Mr Logan said: “Tom’s integrity is unquestionable. He is a patriot who will battle for the people of Bolton and the United Kingdom.
“Tom Tugendhat is the only candidate who flew to Northern Ireland to help someone standing in a council seat. It didn’t go unnoticed and is testament to the heart and determination he has for every member of our 67-plus million family.
“He doesn’t just say. He does.
“Whether in Bolton, nationally, or on the international stage - with the challenges and opportunities out there, Tom Tugendhat has what it takes.”
