A number of roads in Bolton will be closed on the first weekend of August for Bolton Pride.

The council has made an order to enable Bolton Pride to take place on Saturday, August 6 between 10am and 1pm, while the Pride Parade takes place.

The road closures in place will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Spa Road from Walker Street to White Lion Brow, White Lion Brow from Spa Road to Deansgate and Deansgate from White Lion Brow to Oxford Street.

The closures will only be in place whilst the parade is ongoing.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.

Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
