Walkers can step back into the past this week to celebrate Bolton's rich heritage.
For the team at Save Rock Hall will be staging an themed walk from Moses Gate to Prestolee.
The walk on July 30 starts at 10.30am and ends at the car park near Rock Hall and travels along established pathways.
It is an easy/medium terrain and is approximately three miles, and is fully funded by the charity, Banana Enterprise, which is working to bring Rock Hall in Moses Gate Country Park back into use.
It is not suitable for wheelchair users and would suit adults only but children are welcome and must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Prestolee is a place which has great historical connections with the Crompton Papermaking family.
On the walk, the team will be visiting a building with those strong connections where they will stop for a little while and enjoy a free cup of tea and a biscuit, funded by the charity thanks to their funders Bolton CVS and The National Lottery Community Fund.
Organisers of the event are advising people to wear suitable/strudy footwear for walking.
Book onto the walk by ringing 07775066130 or send an email to info@bananaenterprise.co.uk.
