Free online workshops are on offer for SME businesses in Greater Manchester to help them understand and use data to grow their business.

Businesses will have access to free training and advice delivered by expert Paul Clarke from

The Greater Manchester Business Growth Company has commissioned his company to deliver fully funded training and consultancy to local businesses on: How to Grow Your Business Using Data.

To take advantage of the workshops, businesses must be an SME located in the Greater Manchester area, with less than 249 staff and an annual turnover of less than 50 million euros and be looking to grow.

The programme comprises two free interactive online workshops (six hours each) which are held a week apart. They include practical exercises and an action plan to use within your own business.

Paul, who has extensive experience working with businesses of all sizes all over the world, including John Lewis, DHL and Yahoo, said: “In 2022 data analytics is no longer optional if you want to grow your business.

“Data has become one of the most vital elements for driving business strategy. It provides visibility into and beyond your business and, along with Artificial Intelligence, helps leaders of organisations to find answers to key questions and plan the way forward.

“And the more data you have access to, the clearer the big picture.”

Paul said that the workshops will give business leaders:

•A clear understanding of the ways in which businesses grow using data

•A diagnostic tool to identify opportunities to use data for the best results

•A roadmap to outline what you need to do next, the tools to do that and how to best use those tool

•Hands on experience of working with data to yield answers

•The experience of looking at trends and using forecasts to help be ahead of the competition to grow your business
