Shocking video footage captures the moment a car left the road and mounted the pavement and drove ‘deliberately’ towards pedestrians.
Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident which happened on Halliwell Road on Thursday.
Officers say the vehicle hit one person and they are now searching for the driver of the car
The footage shows a group of men on the pavement before a white BMW drives towards them.
A man appears to have been hit by the car but gets up shortly afterwards and does not seem to have been seriously injured.
The footage then shows the car driving off into the distance at speed.
Emergency services have since confirmed that he suffered only minor injuries and that he declined an ambulance.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At around 10.30pm on Thursday, July 28, officers attended a scene on Halliwell Road, Bolton where a male had been hit by a vehicle and knocked to the floor.
“It was reported to be deliberate.
“The victim suffered minor injuries and declined an ambulance.
“The driver failed to stop and remains unknown at this time, the investigation is ongoing.”
