The dreary, wet weather has descended on Bolton, but it should be here for too long.

Yesterday, Paddy McGuinness was one with the national mood as he celebrated the Lionesses' Euros victory in his sunny garden by recreating the goals scored by Ella Toone and Chloe Kelly, including the now iconic celebration, against Germany at Wembley on Sunday evening

"I'm still on a high," said Paddy, at the time.

Now the poor weather has drawn in, bringing with it a more sombre tone from the Boltonian comedian.

"Order has been restored," he said as he peered out from the safety of his house onto the same garden that was lit with bright sunshine the previous day, now drenched.

Luckily for Paddy, and for the rest of us, the weather in Bolton is set to improve as the day progresses and will carry on being drier throughout week.

The Met Office says that the 90 per cent chance of rain from 10am will reduce to 50 per cent at 11am and the after midday the outlook will be a might smaller chance of rain for the rest of the day - 10 per cent - with highs of 21C between 5pm and 7pm.

This trend, the Met Office predicts, will continue through until after the weekend, with a much smaller chance of rain and some sunshine returning from Thursday onwards.
