Bolton town centre is fast developing a reputation for cafe culture.
The Coffee House is the latest business to open, situated on the corner of Victoria Square and Newport Street, and plans are underway for a cafe in Bolton Library and Museum.
The Coffee House will officially open on Thursday inside the former GAME store.
Part of an independent chain, it is the twelfth coffee shop to open under the brand.
The Coffee House is an independent chain with a wide-ranging menu catering for all tastes -vegetarian, vegan or gluten free.
Brother's Chris and Stephen Shelmerdine opened the first branch in Lymm in 2011.
Every store is uniquely designed and inspired by where it is situated.
Wall art created by The Coffee House's in house graphic designer - Steph Thompson, who is from Bolton - includes depictions of some of the town’s most iconic scenes, such as Bolton Wanderer's stadium and the town hall, as well as wall dedicated to Boltonian words and phrases.
"Everybody comments on it," Steph said.
Lizzie Clarke, marketing manager at The Coffee House, says that they like to integrate themselves into the towns they inhabit, and Bolton will be no different.
They are keen to get involved with all that the town has to offer, from this weekend’s Bolton Pride to the food festival later this month, and next year's IRONMAN.
"It's what we like to be known for," she said. "We want to work with the council, local traders and to promote locally. We're all in this together."
The three-month renovation of the site has created space for 80 people, inside and out, and is billed as an ideal spot for breakfast or lunch.
Its 'snug' and other separated 'VIP area', as Steph jokingly referred to it, also makes it a perfect spot for remote working, with plug sockets for devices.
The Coffee Shop has already hired seven members of staff, mostly from Bolton and one from Bury, and will look to hire more as it gets up and running.
Store managers include Brenda Gartland.
"The business is growing, and it wants to grow people with it," Brenda said.
"A lot of managers come from within. The back of house and front of hose are growing."
The Coffee House opens its doors to the public on Thursday August 4. Opening times are 8am-6pm every day except Sunday, when it is opened from 9am-5pm.
