A young man has been taken to hospital with a head injury following a crash between a bike and a wagon.
An air ambulance and a rapid response unit rushed to Hindley Road, Westhoughton, yesterday just after 12pm.
Police also taped an area of the road due to the incident, which was in place for several hours.
The cordon was lifted just before 5pm.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 12.10pm to reports regarding a pushbike and a wagon.
“We sent a rapid response vehicle, ambulance and air ambulance.
“We took one patient, a young male, to hospital with a head injury via road ambulance.”
