Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service's (GMFRS) football team will play a charity match against Grenfell Athletic.

The match, that will take place at Hyde United's Project Solar Stadium, will raise funds for the Grenfell Atletic's charity and the Fire Fighters Charity.

Kick off will be at 7.45pm on Friday August 12.

A GMFRS spokesperson said: "Our football team Manchester Fire Service FC will be playing against Grenfell Athletic for a good cause next Friday evening.

"All are welcome to come and support."

Grenfell Athletic was formed in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017 by Rupert Taylor, who was working in a local communtiy centre at the time.

The Fire Fighter's Charity, who help UK fire service staff live healthier and happier, said the match 'sounds fantastic' and wised everyone a great game.
