Unpaid work

A MAN has been ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work after he admitted assaulting a woman and damaging the front window of her home on June 3. Nicky Lomax aka Williamson, aged 36, of Dickinson Close, Bolton, was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months. He must also participate in a relationships programme plus 15 days of rehabilitation activities.

Driver identity

A CAR hire company has been fined £1,000 after being convicted of failing to name the driver of an Audi Q8 who was alleged to have committed an offence on October 28, 2019. Montreal Prestige Ltd, of Nelson Street, Bolton, denied committing the offence but was convicted.

Drink driver

A DRIVER who failed to provide police with a breath sample has been ordered to do 200 hours of unpaid work. Shazad Hussain, aged 47, of Croston Street, Bolton, denied committing the offence in Bury on April 7 but was convicted following a trial. Hussain was ordered to participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities and banned from driving for 40 months.

Driving ban

A MAN who stole a Nissan Note in Bolton on June 4 and drove it on Chorley New Road without a licence or insurance, has been fined £150. Abdullah Shabbir, aged 21, of Victoria Road, Barking, was banned from applying for a driving licence for three months.

Bank card fraud

A WOMAN who stole bank cards and then fraudulently used them has been ordered to participate in 35 days of rehabilitation activities. Siobhan Healey, aged 30, of Ridyard Street, Little Hulton, was ordered to pay her victims £468.45 in compensation.

Number plate

A VAN driver who had no rear number plate on his vehicle has been fined £150 by Manchester magistrates. The case against Ryan Cheesburgh, aged 33 of Chorley New Road, Bolton, was proved after the Citroen Dispatch van was seen on Victoria Road, Horwich, on December 13 last year.

Teenager threats

A BOLTON teenager, aged 15, has been referred to a youth offender panel for four months. The boy, who cannot be named, admitted using threatening behaviour towards a police community support officer on March 13.

Mercedes drink driver

A DRIVER who had drunk more than double the legal level of alcohol has been banned from holding a licence for 20 months. Ben Glendening, aged 29, of Winslow Road, Bolton, pleaded guilty to drink driving in a Mercedes C Class on Derby Street, Bolton, on May 29. He was fined £400.

Handling stolen goods

A MAN who was caught handling stolen Amazon firesticks and other goods, worth £200, on June 9 has been sentenced to four weeks in prison, suspended for six months. Liam Sandham, aged 30, of Back Church Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty and was ordered to have treatment for drug addiction.
