AN antiques shop in Knutsford is celebrating being kind to the environment.
Holly Johnson Antiques featured natural products in a display for this year’s RHS best dressed window competition.
The theme was ‘planet friendly’.
As well as blooming flowers and foliage, the display featured a set of floral Piero Fornasetti plates from 1960, aptly named ‘Fiori’.
A Victorian steel reclining garden chair accessorised with Designers Guild blankets, pillow and washbag all adorned with botanical designs also took centre stage.
High end antiques are planet friendly by nature as they are second hand and often shared by many homes as they are bought and sold over many years.

Many pieces, especially those created by highly skilled craftsmen such as Edward Barnsley, Gordon Russell and John Makepeace, are well made and built to last using strong, hardwearing materials including oak and mahogany.
Further showcasing its environmental awareness, Holly Johnson Antiques will soon become a stockist of eco-friendly brand Porta Romana.
This specialist designs and handmakes bespoke luxury lighting, furniture and mirrors.
Environmental impact is high on this manufacturer’s agenda as it strives to become a more sustainable company.
More than 80 per cent of its range is made no more than 45 miles from its head office.
