An inquest has opened after the death of a teenager which prompted an outpouring of grief and tributes from friends and family.
Aston Alan Robinson, a well-loved student at Turton School, was just 17 years old when he was found collapsed at his home on Pinnacle Drive, Egerton on April 14 this year.
A coroner heard how Aston was declared dead at the scene after paramedics were called.
Police Coroners Office Julie Ann Hyde said: “Police enquiries were conducted and it would appear that there were no suspicious circumstances.”
Tributes paid to Bolton schoolboy after death
Coroner Timothy Brennand heard how a post-mortem had been carried out by Dr Ravindra Sawant of Royal Bolton Hospital on April 26.
Mr Brennand said a hearing into Aston’s death will be held next month to establish the full facts and requested statements from Greater Manchester Police, the North West Ambulance Service and any other agencies who may have been involved.
The inquest is set to take place on Monday September 5.
