A Bolton rehabilitation centre is up for three accolades in the 2022 SheInspires Awards.

Acquiesce is a six bed private rehabilitation centre in Bolton Town Centre.

As part of the SheInspires Awards, Danielle Robinson, founder and service manager at Acquiesce is in the running for the Women in Leadership award.

Danielle said: "I’m absolutely delighted to be a finalist and I'm overwhelmed by the three nominations we’ve received.

"The team works so hard to support people to make changes to their lives on a daily basis, and I’m very proud of the fact that they have been recognised for the work they do."

Margaret Mary, Support Worker at Acquiesce, has also been nominated for an award - the ‘Her-Abilities’ award.

Acquiesce is also up for Business Team of the Year.

Danielle said: "It’s such an honour that our efforts as a team have been recognised.

"We’re up against some very strong competition and we’re looking forward to the event - if we won it would be such an amazing achievement for the whole team."

This is the eighth year that the SheInspires Awards have been held and only the second year going international. Entries have come in from countries including Denmark, India, South Africa, the United States, the UAE, Australia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Egypt and Bangladesh as well as from across the UK.

Awards Founder, Gulnaz Brennan, said: “The quality of the nominations has been outstanding. Every year it gets better. Opening the awards internationally offers a special way of recognising truly amazing women from around the world. With over 2000 nominations in 17 categories, it was incredibly challenging to draw up the shortlist.”

The judging panel meetings will take place mid-August till September.

The awards are being held on Thursday, November 24 at Bolton Whites Hotel live and online.
