A group of fans nicknamed the cougars by boy band The Wanted are to host an event in memory of Tom Parker.
Rachel Statham and her friends are hosting a Gold Forever Bash event in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity.
Tom, who grew up in Tonge Moor, died at the age of 33 earlier this year, just 17-months after he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.
Despite his diagnosis, in the weeks before his death he had performed on stage with his bandmates as part of their much-delayed reunion tour.
The Gold Forever Bash, named after the song which has become synonymous with Tom and his passing, amongst fans, is being held at the MacDonald Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester on October 1 from 7.30pm with doors open at 7pm.
The tickets are £28 plus booking fee, which includes a welcome drink, a two course hot and cold buffet, a goody bag, raffle and a DJ until 1am as well as a few other bits as a surprise for the night.
Speaking about the event on behalf of the Cougars, Rachel said: "The reason we decided to organise this event was because Tom meant so much to us.
"We are a group of 'older' fans who the boys affectionately labelled as The Cougars during their reign in 2010/2011/2012 and we have followed and supported them in solo endeavours since.
"We also previously held two similar events and after Tom's passing we felt we had to honour his memory and raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity, so we decided to host a third event.
"During the time Tom was unwell he raised so much awareness around brain tumors and the lack of funding that goes into research around them and we were moved to try and help the cause.
"We have sold 160 tickets of a 200 capacity so we really want to shift the last 40 tickets.
"It will be a fun night for everyone with a range of music so will appeal even if you aren't a fan.
"At present we don't have any special guests, but the invitation to The Wanted boys has been extended, obviously they would be welcome."
