Police have found ‘large amounts of cannabis’ after seizing a car in Redvales last month.
The vehicle, seized on Horne Street on Thursday, July 21, was found to contain drug paraphernalia after checks carried out by a PCSO officer.
The checks confirmed the car had also been using cloned number plates, police said.
After more investigation of the vehicle, large amounts of cannabis were discovered and recovered.
Police added investigation remain ongoing.
A Greater Manchester Police Bury North spokesperson said: “On Thursday 21st July, our eagle eyed Redvales officer PCSO Davies was on Horne Street when he spotted this vehicle.
“Checks carried out showed the vehicle on cloned plates, used in crime and with drug paraphernalia inside. Vehicle seized.”
In an update, a spokesperson added: “after further investigation into the vehicle on Horne Street that was seized on 21st July by PCSO Davies, large amounts of cannabis were discovered and recovered. Investigations are still ongoing.”
