People worried about their energy bills will have another chance to seek advice and win a slow cooker later this week.

The Bolton Money Skills team are to set up shop at Farnworth Library on Thursday, August, 18 ready to meet residents.

Advisors will be on hand between 11am and 1pm to help guide people worried about their finances and will also be running a competition to win a slow cooker.

A spokesman for Bolton Library and Museum Services said: “Worried about your energy bills? Looking for ways to save money?

“Bolton Money Skills will be at Farnworth Library to offer advice and guidance to help people take control of their finances and gain the knowledge and confidence to manage your money the sensible way.

“Come along to Farnworth Library, August 18 11-1pm.

“Speak to a Money Skills advisor to have the chance to win a slow cooker.”

This comes as mounting energy and food prices continue to put families all over Bolton under pressure, especially as summer passes into Autumn.

The advisors will hope to see as many people as possible to help give essential tips about how best to cope with these pressures over the coming months.
