A man and woman have both been charged with assault, after a man was assaulted on a tram from Manchester to Whitefield.
The incident took place on Monday evening, and after speaking to the victim, officers were able to locate the offenders through an area search.
An adult female was charged with assault, and a man was charged with assault and criminal damage.
A GMP Bury South spokesperson said: “Yesterday (Monday August 15) evening officers from the GM Transport Unit responded to a report of a male being assaulted on a tram from Manchester to Whitefield.
“Officers attended the scene and spoke to the victim, and with assistance from our colleagues in Bury the offenders were located following an area search.
“An adult female has since been charged with assault and an adult male has been charged with assault and criminal damage.”
They have both been bailed and are to appear in front of the Magistrates.
